Summer has begun!

So Summer has officially begun and it's in full swing around here!  It's definitely been busy starting with our beach trip first!  We all had such a great time and enjoyed every bit of it!

We headed off to the beach last Tuesday and we were all so excited and very ready for a vacation this year.  We were initially suppose to go on Wednesday but me and the hubby decided to go a day early because we just wanted to get there and relax and listen to the waves on the balcony.  So we left Tuesday and got there later in the evening around dinner time.  This is the first time we stayed in a condo by ourselves, just our family, and picking it out ourselves as well so we weren't sure what to expect.  But the condo was so nice and the location was perfect!  When we got in our condo room it was so nice as well and the view was amazing!  We definitely wanted a "beach" view or whatever it's called I think it's called (gulf front) but you have to request that when booking your trip.

So we got down there Tuesday and Chad went and picked up some food and groceries while I unpacked and then took the girls to the indoor swimming pool to swim since it was late.  Then we went back in the room and ate dinner and watched a little TV until the girls went to sleep and then me and Chad went on the balcony and just sat and talked and it was just so very nice!  Loved it!

Then Wednesday my mom, brother and Jasmine (girls cousin) joined us.  We decided to invite them for a free trip just to have everyone together and enjoy the vacation together since we haven't been on one together since I was in elementary school.  But we all had a great time!

We were all set to go home Sunday because that was our original plan but Chad surprised us with buying an extra day and so we all got to stay till Monday and we were so excited for sure because we didn't want to leave, which who ever wants to leave the beach haha?

After we got home I registered the girls for dance again and they are excited to start back.  Madison is taking Acro, Int. Ballet and Jazz/Tap.  Emily is taking Acro and Ballet.  She wanted to take Jazz/Tap like big sister but I just don't think she needs to take that many classes, especially starting K4 this year at big sisters school.  Plus taking that many classes is pretty expensive haha, didn't realize how much it actually was but I know they enjoy it so it's worth it.  Plus it's very important for me for my children to be involved in some sort of physical activity outside of school because I was and it keeps them involved and all kinds of other things too.

And we also picked up our new addition to the family on Tuesday.  We bought another puppy for Emily for her birthday and she was so excited to finally pick her up.  We bought her at 6 weeks but couldn't pick her up until she was about 12 weeks because we didn't want to board her so young while we went to the beach.  But she is a white, female Boxer and she is fiesty haha.  We already have a Boxer who is 5 years old and will be 6 in August and he's a male and his name is Bear but he's pretty calm throughout the day but gets really hyper when other people come over.  Our new puppy is hyper all the time haha.  She's a lot different than Bear that's for sure.  And Emily decided to name her Snowball.  I let her pick the name because it really doesn't matter to me what they are called haha.  But so far so good!

Anyways here is a lot of pics from the beach and of our new puppy!  Enjoy!

Memorial Weekend Getaway

Well we are back in town, at home, from the memorial day weekend getaway we had at my  moms house in Savannah.  I consider it a getaway because Savannah is such a fun town and we always have a blast when we go!

The girls had tons of fun at Mimi's house and basically swam the entire time they were there haha so they turned into fish while they were there basically.

Thursday night one of my good friends from home came into town and we went downtown with my brother and another good friend and her boyfriend and had a blast as usual and then Friday night we went to Wild Wings to see one of my FAV bands perform and had so much fun that night as well!  It never gets dull in Savannah ...

Lots of things coming up in the next couple of weeks ...

1 week and 4 days until we leave for our first family beach trip!  And we get to stay 6 nights but might add 1 extra one at the end depending on how tired we are.  We are going June 12-17th but might stay till that Monday not sure yet, you can always add on ;)
But we are going for Miss Emily's bday so she's very excited about celebrating down there!

Then when we get back we go pick up our new puppy "Snowball" so that'll be interesting for sure having two dogs in the house haha.  But the girls are SO excited about a new puppy they can hardly stand it!

Then it'll just be about time for July 4th weekend/celebration and most likely we will be heading to Savannah then as well.  So it's going to be a busy next couple of weeks.

Then my Hubby's 33rd birthday is July 27th and I believe I have the perfect present for him!  Hehe ... Alabama (Univ. of AL) is playing in Dallas Labor Day Weekend vs. Michigan and he really wants to go!  It's the first game of the season and it's in Dallas at Cowboy Stadium so it'll be a good time!  Sure the tickets are a little more expensive than normal but it would def be so much fun to go and to visit Dallas (for me since he's been) haha.  But I think I'm going to get two tickets to the game and already talked with my mom about keeping the girls that weekend so we would fly out of Savannah to Dallas that Friday and come back Monday and the game is Saturday.  So it'd be an all in one kinda deal haha.  Vacation without kids (LOL), game time for the Hubbs and then visiting a city I've never been to.  So it could work!  All I gotta do is buy the tickets and book the plane tickets and hotel room lol but I got a little bit of time for that.

But we have lots of things to come and def excited about that!

This year has def been a great year and we are excited about the rest of the year and everything in store for us!

Graduation Day, Dance Rehearsal...Oh My!

Graduation Day has finally come and passed for Miss Emily!  She graduated Pre-K last night and we all had a great time and night together!  We also had the girls dance rehearsal for their dance recital this Saturday.  That was also a lot of fun to see the girls on stage and Emily since it was her first rehearsal!  They both did really well, I was def proud of both of them!

I can't believe Emily is finished with Preschool and headed to big sisters school.  I'm excited just for the fact they will finally be at the same school but still sad in another sense because she's my baby :( but I know she will love it!

Next Thursday Madison has her last day of school/party and then we are headed to Savannah for Memorial Day Weekend which we are def excited about because we haven't been to Savannah in 3 or 4 months.  Def ready to go!

We also have 3 more weeks till the beach and we are sooo sooo excited!  The girls can't wait to go to the beach and play in the sand, etc. so it's going to be a great time!

Here is a picture of the condo we are staying at.  Our condo is a 2 bedroom condo and it's gulf front which is majorly important because that means it's right on the beach and has a great view!  They also have a pool, hot tub, etc. so we are excited to go for the first time as a family!

Here are some pictures from graduation as well as their dance rehearsal.  Enjoy!

This picture is a pic of Emily at school one day and I just love it!  Her little hands!

Long time no post...

Hello to all!  Where have I been?  Um...around I guess haha.  I haven't posted in about a year and I plan on keeping this updated from now on.

I def want to try to keep it up to date now...but lets see since my last post a lot has happened.  My oldest daughter, Madison, has entered 1st grade and my youngest in a part-time K4 program.  They both have done extremely well this year and I couldn't be prouder of them!

The end of the year is approaching and Madison will be heading to 2nd grade next year (craziness) and Emily will be heading to Briarwood along with her big sister to do K4 again.  I decided to hold her back and repeat K4 because she has a late birthday (June) and being a former teacher I know some children that have summer birthdays just aren't ready yet to hit Kindergarten full on so we decided to wait but she is very excited to be going to sisters school next year!

We have our first family trip coming up this June for Miss Emily's 5th birthday to Destin, FL.  We usually go with my husband's family every year but this year they are deciding not to do that so we just decided to go ourselves and make it our first family trip.  We are def excited! It'll be a little weird everybody not being there but it'll be fun.

This week is going to be a busy week for us.  Emily has a dentist appt. tomorrow then Thursday she has Pre-K graduation then they have dance rehearsal Thursday and also Saturday is their dance recital.  This will be Madison's 3rd dance recital and Emily's 1st so we are excited to watch Em up there dancing away!

Here are some pics from the past year!
Enjoy!!

 Stay tuned for more!!!
